Fortensin Fortensin is a binary star system containing to yellow g-class stars in a wide orbit separated by 800 AU. The system sits 102 light years from Sol in the Hyades Region. Fortensin A is orbited by a planet. The first colonists on the Fortensin planet were drawn there because the world is rich in valuable minerals.
Numerous underground mining colonies were established at various sites on the planet. The mines were profitable for a period until a bloody workers revolt against the poor working conditions shut down all mining operations.
The mines remained closed for years, an independent company eventually purchased and reopened them claiming the operations would be safer.
