Northsun is best known for its primary planet, a vast desert world once selected for an ambitious regional terraforming program. Early planners believed the planet could become a strategic settlement hub, but the project quickly became a symbol of the risks involved in reshaping a marginal world.
Atmosphere factories were constructed across the planet to thicken the air and raise oxygen levels, but escalating costs, difficult logistics, and relentless wind erosion eventually halted the effort.
