The protoplanetary disk is rich in resources and has been extensively mined. The system's largest protoplanet Object #3476JH is nicknamed "The Block", the protoplanet is orbited by numerous orbital cities, which are the center of the mining colonies throughout the planetary disk.
Soratia is notoriously known for the dangerous working and living conditions within the orbital cities and mining colonies. Numerous violent revolts against the poor conditions has created a tumultuous security situation within the system.
