Located inside the Hyades star cluster, the Taurus Colonies is surrounded by inhabited worlds; many of these worlds claim to control the colonies and numerous conflicts resulted over the years.
There is also a debate whether or the not such a young system that could eventually form life should be mined or even tampered with.
