The system is home to a thick, outer comet belt, the belt contains numerous mining colonies where the majority of the system’s population reside. 2 Centauri’s gas giant is a large planet containing over 3 times Jupiter’s mass. The gas giant is orbited by a large, water covered moon.
The moon was once an icy body which melted and formed a global ocean, as the sun grew into a red giant.
