Planet classes organize worlds by their dominant physical and environmental characteristics. Some classifications describe composition, such as rocky planets, gas giants, and ice giants. Others describe surface conditions, including desert, ocean, jungle, volcanic, and broadly habitable worlds.
A single planet can belong to more than one class. A habitable world may also be an ocean planet, jungle world, desert world, or moon. These overlapping categories reflect the complexity of real planetary environments rather than forcing every world into a single rigid label.
The Darknovus Archive uses planet classes as an exploration guide. Each class connects visitors to planetary environments, notable systems, settlement conditions, and the extraordinary forms worlds can take across the galaxy.
